Yes, it’s award time again! Every year, during our annual AGM, we award trophies to members for outstanding contributions to WPDS over the previous year. Here are our deserving recipients in 2026.

The Tony Parfitt Cup
Awarded by the Chairman of the Society to the person who, in their opinion, has done the most to further WPDS during the Society year. This year Des Wilby awarded the cup to Connor Arnold for directing both Improbable Fiction and Cheshire Cats in a 12-month period.

The John Pagan Award
Awarded to the member who has, in the consideration of the committee, given the acting performance of the year. This year’s recipient is Tracy Siner for the role of Hilary in Cheshire Cats.

The Ken Smith Trophy
Awarded to the person who has made the biggest backstage contribution during the year. This year’s recipient is Melissa Tilton for her work in ‘Cheshire Cats’.
